What could be better than basking in the shade of a weeping tree along the river on a warm summer day. Sandy Askey Adams has perfectly captured this feeling in Newtown, Pa.’s Tyler Park. She will be one of four artists at an upcoming paint out.
Bucks County Gallery of Fine Art, 77 W. Bridge St., New Hope, Pa., will be featuring an outdoor paint out, “Watch Them Paint,” including Sandy Askey Adams, Katharine Krieg, Maggie Leiby and Steve Messenger, June 13, 3-9 p.m.
“Watch Them Paint” is an opportunity for you to see the four award-winning artists show what has won them prestigious recognition. During the three-hour paint out, you’ll see how oil, pastel, and watercolor paintings are created first hand. You can check back several times during the event to see the progression from start to finish.
There will be a chance for onlookers to enter to win a framed painting just for stopping by. In the event of inclement weather, the painting will proceed indoors at the gallery.
Also on June 12 and 13, BOI’s of New Hope has opened its plein air competition to all artists wishing to compete.
