Summertime, and the livin’ is E-Z

Alan Barnett has found all the colors of the rainbow and more at this ice cream stand, the quintessential image of summer, conveying Coney Island or the Jersey Shore.

It’s part of Gallery 125’s  Summer Show opening tonight.

Juror Sarah Cunningham, director of the art gallery at the The College of New Jersey, selected artwork from 30 regional artists.  From more than the 500 pieces entered, Ms. Cunningham selected 40 two- and three-dimensional works that expressed a unique point of view with an off-screen narrative.

“From sunspots to braided hair, construction sites to soft ice cream, the Summer Show at Gallery 125 is hot,” said Gallery 125 Manager Joanne Donnelly Seglem.
